I saw this on digg today. It's pretty interesting. I figured I should kickstart my blog since I'll be at home for a few weeks before I head off to Brazil.

Hmm...that article seems a little slanted to me. The one thing that Ms. Begley failed to mention is that female birds that choose to mate with the "less attractive" males will often cheat, or attempt to cheat, with a more attractive male and then have the less attractive, but better parent male raise the illegitimate offspring as his own.

It's a complicated game, even for birds.
